It's been a year.A year since you broke me.
It's been a year since you cut into my fleshBefore I even got the chance toAfter telling me how horrible it is.
So tell me, are you as happy and free as you pretend to be?
Bright colors, sultry poses, and your boney, emaciated arms around your “besties”.
Skin stained by self tanner faces the camera,
I cling to those things
That make me feel
Alive.
Those things that let me know
I'm not so alone here.
Those songs,
Those quotes,
Those drawings,
Those books that keep my
Longing for hope ,
begging for more rope
to secure my hold ,
with every secret I've ever told
the rope never let's go
Hidden. not in shadows or around corners,
but in the clear, bright day.
The heat of ten thousand eyes on you all at once
but alone, always the chill of sadness, clinging to you for sustanance.
