We are stuck in a world of prejudice,
Where the colour of our skin does not go unnoticed
To say I am a citizen of the world is wrong,
Because I must find a way to belong
By colour, race and religion
When a person can say.
They feel trapped at bay.
And they see beyond.
The rising dawn.
They know what it takes.
To create a place.
Where people can wander.
Without having to ponder.
I’ve made my choices,
Played the hand that I’ve been dealt,
But all I hear are voices,
Tell me how I should have felt.
