Mother, you made me grow up fast.
Out of the house, onto the street.
There was no love for me to last,
Her anger giving off heat.
Every word you said in the past,
Remembering is my nightmarish feat.
I am not worth your time,
Not worth your love
Your affection
Your effort
Your praise
Your care
There is a boy who always smiles
as long as he's not home
his friends all think he's happy
and no one really knows
he goes to school happy
just to get away
he brought you roses
red, your favorite
because he loved you
he got on one knee
pulled out a big princess cut ring
because he loved you
he got close to me
Puppet Boy
strings lace my hands,
they hang above my head.
skin pale and bruised.
eyes practically dead.
i am their puppet boy.
