Faint light shines,
So pure yet so dim,
Calling from within.
Smoke and mirrors,
A facade for my true self,
Still so small and preoccupied,
With the minutia of daily life.
it's funny
when i was younger i wished for a Barbie dreamhouse
not realizing i had one all along
as i drive away you become small in the back mirror
my own dollhouse
where i first learned to crawl, walk, run
It's so green and alive here.
The air here is so clean.
The city;
A big city,
but with the small town feel.
A place I can call home
for four years.
Have you figured it out yet?
one day all your tears will turn into smiles
and all the nights you cried your self to sleep
will be the nights you laughed with your friends
those nights you lied awake with no luck in sleeping
My life this year, simply put,
Has been a treadmill underfoot,
Ever moving and gaining speed,
Toward the day I can finally leave,
Off to college I soon will go,
