People change, circumstances change, loyalties change, contracts change.
While the whole world is always changing, He will never change.
He will always be faithful to His Word and to His promises.
It takes strength to be firm,It takes courage to be gentle.
It takes strength to conquer,It takes courage to surrender.
You can’t see it, you can only look at it.
You can’t listen to it, you can only hear it.
You can’t feel it, you can only touch it.
It's strength...
I
am just one person.
I
can only do "so much"
or so I thought.
Us
I am just an activist- Martin Luther King Jr.
I am just a girl- Anne Frank
The world
around us wants
to be seen by us.
We have two eyes
to see.
Some cannot
see.
Some will not
see.
I choose to
see them.
Courage is the boy going to the new school
Courage is the boy asking the bully to play with him
Courage is the student that tells the truth...
even when he knows he's in trouble
Thought: Baby Steps
Have you ever watched a parent guide a toddler's steps?
It's whimsical,
I say that geared toward the toddler because their legs just aren't strong enough yet,
You know?..
The melody no longer rings the same,
and no, the harmony is not to blame.
It’s the years spent in an orchestrated song
filled with root beer chords, where the days are long.
Fear
Conquer or be conquered they say.
But I say-
True courage lies in facing day by day
Fear straight between the eyes,
Calling out his lies.
I remember the smell of flesh
sizzling on hot cement, the wind
tangling my hair, my toes turning to cherry tomatoes. Jump!
they laugh in my ears,
"The moment has arrived.
The day I've always imagined is here.
I spent nights without sleeping for this.
This is all you've ever wanted,
but you are scared.
It's now or never",
I would say to myself.
A woman
A beauty in an embroidered frame
The master of embassy, its creator
That mirror beckons her name, playfully
You leave me so suddenly when I’m in fear
When I need you the most you’re no where near
Yet I continue on with the little strength I have
Taking a leap a faith on the rugged path
Dear Fear,
I apologize for the suddenness
In which I write this note to you,
But as I look back over our time together
My thoughts are overdue.
You’ve done much to protect me,
It was 32 degrees fahrenheit on one winter morning.
There was a lad outside in London with his hot tea, burning.
He looked up to the sky,
Then back down to his cup,
Rolling hills and majestic skies
Beautiful faces and even prettier eyes
Plentiful jobs and opportunity for all
This is the country we've come to love most of all,
But people are mad
They fight and shout
Outrunnable,
inescapable,
indestructible,
always listening, waiting,
maybe even hoping,
for a reason to be sad.
The lump in my throat,
it won't go away,
it's in me,
