In the light of the lamp creatures come and go, Passing from pen to page in its eerie glow. Far off places full of castles and kings, Places where the world is happy and sings. Sings it does of the wonders of old, 
The mythical creature hidden in the mountains High above the clouds A fearsome beast waiting for its feast Something in the darkness waiting to be seen
Legend is his species Yet he sleeps for not being slayed Deep below, below earthen dirt Treaded on years after days Sound a-sleeping and sound silent, But vibrations have been felt
It was nearly nightfall; sky darkened by the clouds that promised rain But I had been chosen to go through Canyon of Monsters to prove my bravery
