The inexorable creep of sleep seeps into my toes worries and woes Thrown out my window. For during good times I have flown too close to the sun.

I terminal-ran at the bottom of midnight from my red-eye flight out from under Greenwashington, DC. It was the firsttime on myown. The run was on a desperateloop away from all my family.  
In a crowd you are bound to spot him He is standing so very tall Not too much impresses him He has seen and done it all. His hair is short, eyes are sharp, and not a smile is seen
Minutes pass as the sun drops into the Hudson River The George Washington Bridge looms above all of this New York lights up in its glory and spectacle From the bridge it is a sight that is not to be missed A tired, weary traveler still on his way
I can't remove the sap, with spots of dust and needles clinging to my love and life lines.
