Chocolates, roses, all around,
The smell of lovely charity.
Masses unknowingly drowned
In love that lacks all clarity.
Commercials spin me for a twirl,
The hammer quickly drives the nail;

It was long ago,
With the wind blowing snow,
She sat by the fire,
Through her veins the venom ran
Sweet, quiet Mary Ann
All she wanted was to be powerful and strong
But sickening tones became of her swan song
Her eyes turned a golden, shining hue
America,
The Beautiful?
Home of the enslaved,
Where those who are brave,
Are said to have no brain,
Where freedom of speech is limited,
We left our hearts
to live in our heads.
It was supposed to get easier
but compassion is dead.
Driven by money
and heavy with pain;
The blood on the ground
runs in each of our veins.
