The statement "it looks good on college applications" is hammered into me
until it becomes a branding, programmed into my brain cells
Words.
Words matter.
Words matter to me.
Power.
They have power.
They have power beyond understanding.
People don't understand it.
They write it off.
But a text is powerful.
On the first class meeting of my freshman year,
I was told that when you leave highschool
you are two numbers.
