Poems from indigo-insanity
I'm a 16 year old girl who probably won't be an English major in college but who still enjoys creative writing. I made this account to anonymously post my poems- not just the good ones that I like people to see, but the ones I've never shown people before or that people rarely read.
Things you should know about me to help you better understand my poetry:
-I struggled with accepting that I am a part of the LGBT community when I was 14 years old and lost one of my best friends because she had an issue with it.
-I suffer from anxiety and, though people don't seem to think I did, depression when I was younger. My mental health was worst in my sophomore year, where many of the poems with numbered titles were written.
-I had a girlfriend for a month, but her family began mistreating her because of me, causing her to break up with me. I wrote many a poem about her and my feelings about the relationship.
-I was led on for several months by the most adorable psychopath I've ever met.
and I find that people
drift in and out of my life
in one year, out the next
in one day, out the next
sometimes they drift away in a minute...
Chains wrapped around my heart
A lock binding them together
The key long buried deep inside me
Nearly forgotten in its hiding place
Only...
nothing gold can stay
"but silver things can," he says
sadly, you were gold
There exists a void inside my soul
A void that grows bigger every day
And threatens to envelop me
I’m more than this. I need to me
More...
"Nature's first green is gold"
because the best part of a relationship
is the very beginning
the honeymoon phase, as they call it
before...
