Poems from RavenWhisper
Ancient oak, tall and strong,
Sheltering life beneath your branches.
Rough bark acts like a robe,
Protecting the wood inside.
Sleepy birds...
The air is thick,
Hot and cold
At the same time.
I feel it
Wet against my face
Brushing my skin
So very lightly.
I feel it
Hanging around...
The fleeting light falls
Illuminates a moment
Transient beauty
With my feet
Encased
In concrete,
Keeping me firmly
On the ground,
How will I fly
Up in the sky?
My roots dig deeper
Into my home earth...
