Poems from MiaGrace
Red hair
White wrists
Pink scars.
Scarred memories
Wounded heart
Broken dreams.
Life of pain
Sleepless nights
Loveless days.
Love wanted...
Breakable toys and predictable presents
Store-bought cookies left for a man in red
Fake socks hung from the mantle
Not angels or shepherds...
She gives me shelter and food
And cares for the ones I love
Everything I have is from her
So I dump cyanide in her well
Rip shingles off...
Was there a beginning?
An end to time?
For the living, it is the expiration of life
It takes so long to grow up
But it feels like no time...
Some of the kids would go silent when I walked by in the hall
Look at anything but me
Or sometimes they'd laugh at me
They knew
They'd call...
