I am James Weaver from Chicago, Illinois. I began writing poetry sophomore after my passion for writing rap diminished due to the absence of lyricists in the genre. Since then however, I have continued to nourish my scorching desire to direct my sentiments through poetry. It was not until this past year that I began performing my poetry in front of large crowds. Performance only increased my desire to write because of the positive responses I would receive after them. The poems I write are to inspire and stimulate the youth in this callous generation. My goal is provide hope, chiefly to individuals in metropolitan areas where violence has become a norm.
