But Your Imperfections ARE Perfect!

Location

What change do I want to see in the world?

Beauty queens will answer "world peace"

In hopes of winning the pageant

Advertisements on late-night television

Promote the end of animal abuse

World hunger and clean water are two matters

Advocated by celebrities far and wide

Yes, these are all important things

But how can we expect to change the world

Until we change ourselves?

How can we expect to save others

If we can't even save ourselves?

I want to see a world without hate

I want to see a world that radiates love

Both for others and for themselves

I want to see a change in girls

Where they don't skip meals and count calories

Like a religion

All to look like a magazine cover

Don't you know it's photoshopped?

I want to see a change in boys

Where it's okay to cook and clean and sew

It's okay to wear pink

True masculinity is defined by your character

Don't you know you're still a man?

I want to see a change in the older generation

Where they recognize they are still as beautiful

As they were in their twenties

Your laugh lines tell the most wonderful stories

Don't you know you're a best-selling novel?

The time is now to end the inferiority

Nobody has the right to make you feel

Like less of a human being

You wonderful creature, you

Don't you know you're amazing

Just the way you are?
