You Were a Moment

Fri, 04/25/2014 - 04:00 -- LeeLee

You were like a gust of wind
That blew through my open heart.
Rushing inwards, out, and on;
You were here and you were gone.

You were like a fleeting glance
That danced before my wide eyes.
An image burnt in my mind;
A memory left behind.

You were a moment in time.
A being I loved and lost.
A wish that could never last;
Over and left in the past.
