You Were

Wed, 03/05/2014 - 21:12 -- SAF

You were perfect in a human way.

So not perfect at all but as perfect as it gets.

And, oh, how you'd make me laugh!

We'd laugh till we cried without reason.

You were always there

Until you weren't.

Until you were no longer there.

I don't remember why because I never knew at all.

You were sad and angry and lonely and

You never said a word

To me

About it.

I'd change that

If I could.

I'd ask you questions

And wait for all the answers.

Not just the pretty ones.

I'd listen better

Until you learned to speak without being

Asked to.

You were my laughter.

And now you're gone.

But I could change for you.
