You
My place is stained with you
I look to my left and it's where we laughed
I look to the right and it's where we loved
The chair that I sat in as you broke the news
The bed I lay on as I listened to you
And then I think
It's not bad
It's not bad at all
It was great while it lasted
And made me grow tall
And these stains turn beautiful
Into the first layer of dyes
Of the dawn breaking on the lovely skies
Of my mind and life
I knew love and it knew me
How freeing
How exciting
How much glee could that be
So, to you I say, most sincerely
Thank you, thank you
Thank you dearly
