If I could take the whole wide world and change one single thing

I would erase all the pain that Domestic Violence brings

I've been in that situation and know the hurt first-hand

And I've realized that an army of a million strong starts with one person who will take a stand

It's not a topic that most people find comfortable to discuss

But the chance to end it once and for all is inside all of us

We must raise awareness and stand tall and strong

And never ask the question of why they stayed so long

We must create shelters that the survivors can use

And realize sometime leaving can be scarier than abuse

We should never blame the victims and always show support

Because right now the resources really do fall short

Each one of us must make a choice, only we can decide

And if we take a stand, we just might save a life.
