The World is All I Need (All I Need Scholarship Slam)

Come, my beloved, consider the stars

Clouds which veil a golden moon

Glittering gases in the atmosphere

I fear I'll fall in love too soon

Come nestle by my side a moment

And caress me with your soft coo

Though I know you cannot stay

Linger in this pas de deux

A beautiful glass you fill halfway

No matter how brief this rendezvous

Douse me in diamond kisses

I can want for nothing if not you

Can you live and not love?

Can you love and not live?

Dawn grows heavy on my heart

My somber eyes blind with sleep

As night begins to take her leave

Sweet fool, love is all I need.
