A Winter's Rain

A rain,

Falling,

Through a

Cold,

Dark,

Winter’s night.

A dawn,

Breaking through,

Shinning,

Awakening rays,

Of light.

A chill,

Lingering,

As you walk,

Shivers,

Deep,

Through your bones.

A breath,

An eerie fog,

You catch children,

Pretending to smoke.

A warming sun,

Now resting,

Suspended,

High above,

The thawing earth.

A slew of colors,

Amplifying,

Vividly,

Through

The melting murk.

A pitter-patter,

Heard,

Falling,

Slowly,

Off the dissolving,

Fruit Of rain.

A glimmer,

Reflecting,

In the semi-frozen,

Shimmering buds,

Noticed,

As you pause,

On the terrain.

A tranquil moment,

Of solace thought,

Quietly,

Conceived.

A peace,

Enveloping you,

Unlike

Any other,

Only nature,

Can sustain.
