Where your choices define you.

Where your accidents are huge mistakes

whether or not it was a mistake you'd love to make.

Where a mother is unacceptable if your age isn't right.

Where college isn't an option for those of us who have those little lights in our lives.

I live in a world

That ridicules and rejects.

That whispers and gossips.

That decides my body is their business.

That sets up obstacles just because the doctor said "It's a girl".

Unable to cope.

Unable to breathe.

Unable to be.

I live in a world

Where I am a woman

Proud and strong

But

Free.
