Why I Write: A Revolutionary's Manifesto
I write because I'm in love.
I am in love.
I repeat it to myself daily,
An ecstasy of Romantic caliber,
A revelry of Classical Dionysian cultics.
I am in love.
Love covers over me,
And in it I see faces of Gods unknown;
I am in ecstasy of Romanticism,
Dionysic reveler in Classical tradition.
I am a savage Antinous,
Breast bared to the river;
I am in love.
I am in red,
My back to the wall;
I am in love.
I am no Lady Lazarus,
but I rise and eat men the same;
I am in love.
Vicious and living,
I am in love.
