I love poetry.
The smooth rhythm of the words
rolling and flowing like a river or stream
I love the freedom of expression
the beauty of the meaning.
And yet,
I also love the strict, formulaic,
structure of classic poetry.
The thrill that comes when you read
the perfect rhyme
The satisfaction - the pride-
when you create one.
That is why I love poetry.
