Wrapped inside a dream,

Where no one can hear the screams,

The screams of the world that are not what they seem,

They seem to be smiles and unbreakable esteem,

But their truth, like I, are trapped in this dream.

Smothered in a daze,

Where we all pass our days,

Trying to make it through this maze,

But all of us are strays,

Simply passing our days.

Trembling with fright,

Scared to run, scared to fight,

To resist this parasite,

So we all back down into the night,

A space where we find our throats tight.
