Who am I now

I thought I knew

I was sure I was cool

The summer fun had passed

And then there was school

Low and behold out of the blue

I was aghast

Realizing that my family make up was in fact a blast

I hid it for many years

Calling my other mom my aunt

She never knew that I was ashamed too

But as time marched on and maturity set in

My broken family of two moms

Was no different in this world and a big win win win

My friends think my moms are cool

But the best part of it all …

Is that I know it too.
