What Would You Change Scholarship Slam

Location

I see today’s world as a world of many faces.

Our life is a mess we whine about on our Facebook pages.

Teens tell each other that drugs and sex are cool,

And yet if you get pregnant, they look down on you.

We pray to a god few actually believe in,

And when politicians talk, not very many people actually listen.

You see, we say one thing but mean another.

People want mercy and peace and yet ignore a needy brother.

Our society thrives on the need to please you.

It doesn’t matter how anyone else feels and long as you think it’s the truth.

If I could change one thing, I really don’t know where to start.

But I think the best place would be to start within the heart.

As Michael Jackson says, start with the man in the mirror.

Let’s mend our own problems before we try to fix someone else’s error.

If we get our priorities straight, everything else will make sense.

Start living on purpose, stop living on the fence.
