This word of mine,

although it may shine,

holds many obstacles

that I fear I can not tackle.

If I could alter one thing,

it would be to be rid of the bling.

Material posessions are ruling our world

and causing our priorities to be whirled

Technological growth and new advances

are riding us of communication and taking away chances.

Chances to grow and thrive in life;

Chances to talk and to find a husband or wife;

So this remains true, the thing I would chang;

To take away the extras, now wouldn't that be strange?
