"What is Truth?"

I've heard it said, “There is no truth”
It seems a common view.
Yet when it's said, I cannot help
But wonder, “Is that true?”

Some say, “There may be truth, but it's
Beyond what we can know.”
Yet still this question bothers me:
“How do they know it's so?”

“Whatever is agreed upon
That's truth,” they say to me.
Still nagging doubts say to my thoughts,
“What if I don't agree?”

I hear, “That might be true for you
It's just not true for me.”
I know that's true for certain things
But for all truth, can that be?

It's true for me my eyes are brown;
I like the color green.
Those things may not be true for you
I know that; that's routine.

But if it's true the earth is round
Or murdering is wrong
How can that be for me or you
Isn't it true for everyone?

Wouldn't truths like that be true for all
No matter how we feel?
If right or wrong are more than words
If there's a God for real?

There are many things I do not know
Questions ever abuse me.
I do not grasp all truth there is
And many things confuse me.

But this I know, this I can say
Though gray areas abound
Though all the world may disagree
Truth truly can be found.

Truth all can know and see and hear
Not wavering like the sea
Truth without stain and without fail
Truth able to set free.

I've heard it said, that those who seek
Will find for what they call.
May the God of all reveal his Truth
For you, for me, for all.
