What if?

Location

What if they find out?

What if they see?

The deepest despairs

        that dwell in me?

What I don't show

                   They needn't know

All that they see,

      Is all that they need

The me that they see

      laughing

           smiling

                singing with glee

Is the me that they see

                        the one that I show

But..

Beneath the charade

                     the facade

                            the outside

There exists a darkness

Where the fears thrive

fed by a furnace of desprate cries

I can't let the flames engulf me

           devour me

                 consume me

Because then,

                      My walls would be broken

and you'd see the true me

                                   happiness, sadness, confliction, and all.

So sorry dear friend, you aren't getting past this wall.
