What I Need
Some may say food, or water,
Or something warm,
But those just keep me alive,
And I would much rather live.
For this, I need my brother.
He keeps me laughing,
Even if I'm crying,
And laughter seems impossible.
He tells me facts
That I never wanted to know,
But in that moment,
They're all I want to hear.
He sings with me,
And we dance around,
Two kids, happy and free,
Being ourselves and no one else.
He loves me like I love him,
And that's all I need to live.
His words are food; his songs, water,
And isn't that what I need?
