What is hope

 

is it the thought of light 

in the middle of darkness?

or the smile one wears

even though they're breaking 

 

can you taste it in

food after a long day,

can you feel the wamth  

after being cold for so long?

 

it sparks a new level of 

curiousity, fills you with

vibrant feelings

it is beautiful...

but it is deadly. 

 

what is hope?

it is the stress occuping your mind

the tears welling in your eyes

and the beating in your chest
