We're Just Kids

Life as a young child,

I was always free and wild.

Playing on a slide,

Or running to hide.

Saying whatever came to mind,

Then getting spanked on my behind.

With our tangled hair,

That we always seem to wear.

We could run a mile,

And still manage a smile.

We're tired but by the end of the day,

We have hopes that we will still get to play.
