We will not be silenced, the silence is broken by the symbolism within the signs we raise and the hymns we quietly hum. Symbolism gives all men and women power, empowerment is what allows the oppressed to rise up and strike down tyranny with barrages of what to the quiet is blatant, and to the hateful is forgotten. Hate has no direction, hate is explosive. Explosion is a glorious and swift movement, but is careless and blind, unknowing of what is to follow. Explosion is change and change is progress, progress is steady and aimed carefully at a goal. A goal is a dream, dreams are beauty in such a way that is intangible, yet very clear at times, blurry at others. Dreams lead men and women, dreams echo for an eternity within space and time and even beyond that. When a dream becomes tangible, as blatant as it may be, reverence of the masses should be shared, and as I walk down the halls of my school I see a forgotten dream. May one day the dream be realized and be empowered again.
