War Sonnet

Gentlemen, comrades, Brothers in Arms,

I feel we need a song to sing, whilst fighting.

Now, sound off, so that we may do harm!

Most from the desert! Let them feel our sting!

We make war, that we may live in this peace.

And we all say to that man, Semper Fi.

For Peace is there for fighting to now ceease

As for our families, they will soon cry.

But they will remember us for victr'y!

and with this flowing River of Blood!

As they fall, they will go fast to their knee.

Our Song, sung throught time, and in the mud!

Comeing from the Sea Air and Land we fight,

And we shall come for the oppress'ds plight!
