On the Wall

Wed, 08/30/2017 - 19:53 -- NGale

Falling slowly down the wall...
They look on, one and all,
As the one who pushed Humpty down
Looks on with a curved, gleaming crown.
"This kingdom, my kingdom, is not for you.
An egg is unwanted, uneeded, untrue."
Humpty's chest gave with a start.
A million pieces where there once was a heart.

There he was left by all the King's men,
Because something unwanted can never be put together again.
