The Walk
I am an erased soul
Inside of me
Happiness is never set free
Passed are the times of cumbersome
And I noticed the monster I have become
I lift my foot up
I think of all the things that I have done
tears start to run
“I can do this”, I whisper
I released my last whimper
I take a step forward
One by one
Come the rays of sun
They caress my face
Then, across my body, continues its race
The dark coldness starts to escape
I am no longer in my old shape
The warmth takes over me
And after a long time, I can see
I can see there is a silver lining
I can see my old thoughts and fears that starting to decline
Left behind are the dark days
Ahead of me are the lighted ways
I am walking
I catch myself smiling
on the inside i feel free
With the birds i am singing
I have found me
And I am never letting go
