Waiting For The Light

My whole body is filtered black,
Knowledge is something I do not lack,
Everyone is equal,
Equality should be passed down like a sequel,
One store that welcomes different skin color to purchase a Bagel,
Discrimination shouldn’t be legal,
We the people will fight,
Until discrimination is out of our sight,
Until we have one restaurant that will welcome different skin color for a bite,
But for now, the world is dark,
I’m at home, waiting for the light.
