In Wait

Location

Waiting in a room

Full of awkward silence.

Feeling like you’re in a tomb:

The air so thick and dense.

Waiting for your turn

For something you despise,

But every time you learn

That it’s not quite your demise.

People fill the chairs,

Yet not a sound is uttered;

Every person only stares,

No one even mutters.

You know your time is coming,

You’re somewhere on the list.

What you’re waiting for is something

Known simply as the dentists!
