The Vow

Sat, 07/03/2021 - 13:46 -- jar4291

I vow to be your cloak and armor, your hidden daggar

protect your heart what matters,  to watch it shatter the latter

my thoughts scatter, recollecting the moments, my opponents

opportunist, alluded to the fall of me and you is what's included

but i'm fluid and versitile like water, manuver the heart, I chart, while playing my part

Like light in the dark, it shine bright when its alone but not enough to find the road

that leads home, two lights shine brighter, enlighten the thoughts of this broken masquerade

the chardes we play to appeal to society's schema, heart of diva, delivering the feelings

of a hour, fell in love first 30, second 30 took a shower, i've exchanged all of

my power now a prisoner of will, kept my heart gaurded so long i forgot the way it feels

to be out of pocket, like a locket that dangles from the neck, a victim to any hands ready

to check, but love is insanity, doing the same thing for new results but a change begins

when you decide to start i vow to be your heart........
