Victim's Voice

This world,

This world is evil.

Look around you and tell me what you see.

What I see, is a cry for help. What I see is a disaster waiting to happen. What I see is a war and we are losing. What needs to change here, is that society states that when someone gets raped, it is the victim’s fault.

It is not the victim’s fault.

It is the coward hiding behind walls and living in alleyways.

It is the demon living inside the possessed.

It is a human being, but not a good one.

Please tell me, what makes it okay to blame the victim? It does not matter what they wear, it does not matter how drunk they are, it does not matter if they’re fat, it does not matter if they’re skinny, it does not matter if they’re American, it does not matter if they’re European, it does not matter if they’re a child, an adolescent, a teenager, an adult, or an elderly person, it does not matter if they’re a boy or a girl. It is not their fault.

These people, these people are human. They are angels whose grace was stolen from them when the demons of the underground thought I’d be okay to corrupt them.

They are the flowers that get run over because the lawnmower doesn’t care if you’re pretty or not.

They are a beautiful melody destroyed by a Robin Thicke song because I’m pretty sure they didn’t want it, and those blurred lines were not an excuse to fill someone with your venom.

The victims, are victims, the victims are me.

I am a victim and I can assure you that night I was wearing an ACDC shirt, with skinny jeans, and black converse. I can assure you that I was turned around in an alley filled with teenagers my age, and I can assure you that I was drinking water, and I can assure you that after I drank that water I was roofied and I can assure you that I did not ask for it, I can assure you that the memories come back in fragments, I can assure you that it was two boys, I can assure you that I remember the semen stains on my thighs, I can assure you that.

and I can assure you if it was really based on what you wear then the girl in the venue wearing short shorts and a bandeau would’ve been in my place, but she wasn’t so don’t tell me what you wear is an invite to take someone’s virginity.

and I can assure you if it was really based off of how alcohol you’ve consumed, then that boy outside the venue drunk out of his mind would’ve been in my place, but he wasn’t and I was drinking water.

So let me tell you something,

If I could change one thing, I would change society and make them believe that it’s the rapist’s fault.

Because I know, and every victim knows, we did not ask for this so when society says that it is our fault then I hope society knows it is manufacturing idiots that think forced sex is love. Force sex is something everyone wants. Forced sex is the right hand of God and it is not. It’s rape.
