Very Close Between the Sun and Moon

There's so much I want to say

So much I want to do.

But hey my mind and heart isn't made of clay.

There is a pulse,

An impulse

To reach out

And know you're still there

Where you stood just a year ago.

Where you stood

Is now a black hole

Shaped in the stinging love of your empty soul.

There's a large gash

Labeled hashtag heartbreak.

“Someone somewhere is waiting for me”

Someone who will treat me right.

Someone who will say “I'm here, my dear”

That someone ain't you.

You hear me?

That someone ain't you.

These lies I tell myself…

I know I will believe if I fake it enough.

That person ain't you.

That someone is on there way.

A falling angel.

A bit fragile,

To put my broken pieces together

And not bleed an ocean.

My angel from heaven

From up above.

There's so much I want to say

So much I want to do.

But hey my mind and heart isn't made of clay.

There is a pulse,

An impulse

To reach out

And know you're there

Where you will stand soon,

Very close between the sun and moon…
