Untitled

She screams, she cries
She takes off her disguise
She begs the world to see
They will never see.

They whisper, they look
Her life- the school's new best-selling book
They think they know her, they don't
I wish you'd show her, you won't.

Their words sharper than a razor on a wrist
She takes the blade, she gives up. She quits.
She sings her swan song
You all sing along

She's a "poor girl" now, a "troubled youth"
"I would have helped her", "Why didn't she speak?"
"Lord, may she rest in peace."
The hypocrite's words.

She screamed
Did you hear?
She fell
Were you near?

She screamed, she cried
She took off her disguise
She begged the world to see
Did you even bother to look?
