Uncover
This mask I wear everyday,
It is only a disgrace.
Covering who I really am,
But showing what I want people to see.
This mask is the perfectionist in me.
I dream of me and my mask,
Dancing and showing off in the crowds.
But, under my spirit is crying aloud.
This mask I used to wear everyday,
Has disappeared in Jesus Name.
Because I am made in his image
And there is nothing for me to hide.
Inside may still need a little work,
As the days go by and by.
But his light still shines.
