the good definitely die young

the world portrayed you as just a gun wielding thug

they were too ignorant to determine your beauty

instead the media crucified you, and left you to die

if only I were born a couple decades earlier

I would have stood by your side

helped you find a place to hide

Be your passenger when no one else was down to ride

Told you the truth when you needed to hear it

and tend to your fiery spirit

when I think about it I can't help but cry

maybe then you would still be alive
