It had always been easier to hide who I am
I joked and laughed
and nobody needed to know me more than that
It wasn't too long before I had forgotten who I was to

I became my studies
People only knew me as a nerd
And I had no idea who I was

I lost myself in the crowd
I never stood out among the rest

Then one day someone forced me out from behind my curtain
They actually wanted to know who I really was
But I had no clue how to answer him

So he sticked around to find out for himself
In the process I discovered myself too
