Trust

Like most things

I used to think

It was a double edged sword

Trusting myself

Led me to best consequences

While others

Led to the worst

I used to shun this power

Frightened by unpredictable outcomes

Frightened by other’s thoughts

Frightened for the affects of myself

However I learned

Without trusting myself

There is no self esteem

Of who I am

Without trust

There is no pride

On what I do

That makes me happy

I can trust myself now

Don’t have to worry

Of my past failures of trust

I am now free
