True Love

I was searching for something,

But I didn't know what!

Then I got tired of searching,

And fell into a rut.

The pain was unbearable,

I couldn't stand it anymore,

Trying to find someone like you,

Is something I have never felt before!

But when I finally say you,

I couldn't help but smile,

It didn't happen all day,

but just for a while.

You melted my heart,

And met the real me,

Because whenever we're apart,

It's only you who I wanna see.

We met each other some time ago

You had my heart at 'hello'

I anxiously await our time ahead,

For now I'll keep dreaming of you instead.

You can't control love,

It comes as rare as a dove,

Some people say it is over rated,

But that's because they haven't waited!

True Love is as rare as a blue moon,

but it has such a great tune.

Right through my eyes I see you clear,

So far away but still so near!

When we are together or,

When we're apart,

You are first in my thoughts,

And first in my heart!
