Trapped in Solitude
Loneliness is a cage
That confines my soul
It keeps me locked up, isolated
Out of reach and out of control
I long to fly, to spread my wings
To soar above it all
But the cage is too small,
the bars too thick I am trapped,
unable to crawl I pace and pace,
a restless bird
Trapped in this lonely cell
I long for the day when I can break free
And fly away, out of this hell
But until then, I remain
A prisoner of my own despair
Trapped in this cage of loneliness
Yearning to be free, to fly, to dare
This poem is about:
