TRAPPED
Trapped.
He is free to roam,
He is free to go.
I’m a prisoner to my own home.
Sentenced by our embryo.
“We’ll get through this” he said,
As he’s freed by his tires.
I was strapped to my hospital bed,
bound with medical tubes and wires.
First escape, done
My Freedom?
Still none
Out of the prison,
Still stashed away.
Freedom has not yet risen,
Still a known castaway.
Saying one last hail mary,
Before I’m carried away in strife.
The last time I’ll have you to carry,
But now ready to give you life.
You are now free,
Yet I am trapped again.
Hoping to someday flee,
From this new pen.
You can go,
You can run.
Go see the snow,
Go find someone.
Don’t worry about me,
I’ll be here.
Thisting for freedom
Reaching for faith
Aching for no demons
Praying for grace
Picturing a brand new place
Even a completey new race
Desiring for something to set my mind free
Hoping to be no longer trapped in this reality.
