Trains

Mon, 10/17/2016 - 21:54 -- Dtodd18

Sadness, real sadness

hits you like a train.

At first, not at all.

But then, all at

once.

Sadness, real sadness

is usually mistaken

for something else.

Sometimes carelessness.

Really that’s just because

sadness, real sadness

is turned off and

covered up by

no emotion at all.

Sadness, real sadness

hits you like a train.

When you’re alone and

covered up with

thoughts

running through

your skull.

It all just hurts

like a train wreck.
